EQUALITY, DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION

At Connect Schools Academy Trust, we are committed to ensuring equality of opportunity for all pupils, staff, parents and carers irrespective of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race and culture, religion or belief, sex, and sexual orientation. 

 

Connect Schools Academy Trust has formed a dedicated Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee, made up of Trustees, senior managers and staff representatives from each school in our Trust.  

 

The remit of the Committee, which meets at least termly, is to ensure that the equality of opportunity is available to all members of our Trust community and to continue to develop a culture of inclusion and diversity in which all those connected to the Trust and its schools feel proud of their identity. 

 

The first actions of the EDI Committee have been to organise an equalities survey of Trust staff. There is also a focus at looking at data and policies.
